What's your shortest domain name?  Reply with quote

Everybody knows that short domain names are often prefered.

If you've got a two letter domain name, I've heard that it should be worth 5 figures, but market value isn't the only advantage, shorter domain names are generally easier to remember and easier to type.

What's the shortest domain name that you own?

Same here, Cibok. I've got a five letter .com, not to hard to get really. I'd show you the URL, but I'm not ready to go public with it since there's no site yet...

Actually that part is easy!

fqdc.com is available, along with many others, it's just that it's hard to get good domain names that are shorter than 5. Wink

Wonder if you get any typo type-in hits from people trying to get to Acura.com? Wink

I guess there really isn't a way to tell for sure.

The referrer would appear as "-" but this is the same thing you get if people intend to type in your domain name, or if they use their bookmarks to get there. Possibly other reasons too.

Make a prominent link that says "Oops I meant Acura.com" and make it a redirector that counts clicks. Buncha work for esoteric data.

my shortest domain name is www.97s.net which is a nice little 3 character one but i dont know that it has a lot of value. But i plan to use it as a short link referrer for display and demo sites i create. Which means i can give people a lot shorter url to check things out i am working on.

I snapped up the domain from soneone else and there were other extensions registered, so I often receive hits from visitors from the other extensions. People often type the .com domain before .org .info or other country domains.
